Lokahi Foods Chocolate - 1lb

I am in love with this protein powder!! I am extremely picky with protein powders. This one has such a great flavor and it doesn't have that gross taste that most protein has. It does have more calories than most on a scale of protein to calories ratio. But that is because it is such a great clean protein!

Unlike some of these powered drink mixes that promise a lot of protein, but don't deliver much else, this one is packed with a huge list of supplements (see photos). There are also a not-insignificant number of calories in a dose (60g), though what do you expect for a protein supplement? Fat and sugar levels are low, though.I wouldn't call this amazing tasting, but it's not bad. I mixed it with Greek yogurt for a pretty nutritious breakfast. I did find the recommended dose to overwhelm the standard 5oz yogurt cup, so the second day, I halved the dose. That worked just about right. The chocolate flavor is more suggested than knock you over the head. And by halving the dose, I'll get a full month of use out of this package.Note that they don't include a scoop in the package to help measure out the dose. They claim that's a feature, but I consider that annoying.

This is one of the best tasting protein powders I have had. The chocolate tastes rich and there's no typical protein aftertaste nor does it give me that chalky mouth feel that other protein powders have. I have been adding about half the recommended serving size blended with coffee and it's a delicious but healthy treat. Keeps me full for a while and is a nice pick-me-up. I will say that although it does have all of these antioxidants, prebiotics, etc, in it, it does seem a tad bit expensive for the average person.

This superfoods protein blend is high in protein and low in sugar, fat, and other bad compounding ingredients. Highly recommended!

This is a great protein. I’m always leery of trying new protein because of the taste. I can’t stand protein that gets foamy after shaking. This protein is great though. I haven’t had any issues with it. It mixes into other things great too. No complaints at all.

I got this one for my mom who has decided to be 'vegan'. I never realized how difficult it is to find vegan alternatives for just about anything. I dont see them as a meal replacement shake but something to add protein if they are already doing shakes.Its worth a try if you are going the vegan route.

Really like that it makes a nice, rich drink. Feels packed with nutrition, and the flavor is pretty good mixed with just water as long as you're not expecting something super sweet. Have even tried with hot water for kind of a modified hot chocolate effect.

I've tried a lot of different chocolate protein powders, and I've really enjoyed this one so far. It tastes nice just in water, or even hot water or milk as a sort of hot cocoa. I've also tried it in yogurt and smoothies and it works really well. The flavor is solid but not too strong or odd to throw off whatever you are eating.I like that it doesn't come with a plastic scoop, because those are always getting tossed, and they instead used 1/2C as a standard serving size which is also easy to use a 1/4C for a half serving. I can't of course verify any of the nutrition facts, but it seems solid from a macro perspective and I like all the little things they add, so it is kind of like a superfood multivitamin as well. The main downside would be the price, as other plant-based superfood protein powders in a similar space (Orgain) can be found for half the price or less.

The scoop size is quite large (1/2 Cup is the base) so depending on your drink container, getting the right load *can* be a bit tricky. The test is decent, but not exceptional, and a smidge on the bitter side. All in all not bad.

Great flavor without being "chalky." The combination of pea protein and hemp heart protein (food grade hemp does not contain THC) give it complete Amino Acids. This product is also packed with vitamins, minerals, adaptogens, and more.

I love that it is plant based protein. I like to have options in the cupboard for my morning protein, this one tastes great!
